ÀÖ²©´«Ã½is committed to educating and equipping counselors with valuable resources, insights and best practices to effectively serve your clients and excel in your day-to-day practice. That’s why we are looking to the counseling community to share your unique insights and knowledge.

Important Dates

  • Call for proposals closes: March 8, 11:59 p.m. ET
  • Submission notification: March 20   

Proposal Submission Guidelines

We encourage submissions from counselors, consultants, business coaches, financial experts, legal professionals, marketing specialists and other related experts with a passion for equipping counselors to succeed in private practice.

Proposals should include:

  • A clear and concise session title.
  • A session description (150–200 words) that outlines the objectives and takeaways.
  • Target audience and skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced).
  • Speaker(s) bio and relevant expertise.

Proposal Topics

We welcome session proposals that highlight digital tools, systems and processes relevant to the counseling profession. Priority will be given to sessions that are practical, clearly aligned to current standards of practice, and informed by real-world application. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

Clinical Tools and Client-Facing Technology

  • Apps for journaling, mindfulness, symptom tracking, or CBT skills
  • Virtual reality and interactive platforms in therapy
  • Digital tools that enhance engagement between sessions
  • Integrating client-facing dashboards or AI companions into care plans
  • Supporting digital literacy among clients and families

Practice Management and Workflow

  • Selecting and using secure EHRs, client portals, and messaging tools
  • Online scheduling, billing, and automated documentation workflows
  • Technology for outcome tracking and quality improvement
  • Streamlining supervision or case review with shared digital tools
  • Reducing administrative burden through automation and templates

Telehealth and Hybrid Models

  • Best practices for video, phone, and asynchronous counseling
  • Structuring and maintaining a hybrid practice model
  • Assessing client fit for telehealth and remote care
  • Improving client experience and accessibility across formats
  • Telehealth accommodations for clients with disabilities or limited bandwidth 

Artificial Intelligence and Automation

  • AI-assisted documentation, summarization, and note-taking
  • Evaluating AI-driven tools marketed to counselors (chatbots, voice summaries, etc.)
  • Using AI ethically: transparency, bias, and informed consent
  • Automation in intake, triage, or referral workflows
  • How generative AI is changing continuing education and counselor development

Supervision and Training

  • Remote and hybrid models of clinical supervision
  • Building digital fluency among new counselors and supervisors
  • Using simulations, recorded sessions, and AI tools for supervision feedback
  • Ethics of recording, storing, and analyzing session data for training purposes
  • Technology for evaluating counselor skill development

Access, Equity, and Inclusion

  • Bridging the digital divide: rural, low-income, and marginalized populations
  • Digital accessibility for clients with disabilities (screen readers, captions, etc.)
  • Multilingual and culturally responsive digital counseling tools
  • Policy and advocacy around broadband, licensing portability, and telehealth access
  • Ethical responsibility of counselors to promote digital inclusion

Future Directions and Professional Identity

  • Emerging technologies (VR/AR, wearables, biosensors) in counseling research
  • Technology and the evolving counselor identity
  • Balancing innovation with the counselor’s relational foundation
  • Preparing the profession for next-generation digital competencies
  • Cross-disciplinary collaboration with digital mental health developers
