The ÀÖ²©´«Ã½ invites expressions of interest from counselors with expertise in perinatal mental health to contribute to Perinatal Counseling: Assessment, Psychotherapy, and Integrated Care, an upcoming edited volume.

This book will provide counselors, counselor educators, and students with a comprehensive, counseling-focused resource addressing assessment, psychotherapy, integrated care, and professional practice across the perinatal period. The editors seek contributors whose expertise reflects the diversity of clinical practice, scholarship, education, supervision, advocacy, and research in this growing specialty.

• Perinatal assessment and diagnosis
• Counseling theories and evidence-based interventions
• Trauma, grief, and reproductive loss
• Infertility and reproductive decision-making
• Parent-infant attachment and family systems
• Substance use and recovery
• Multicultural counseling, reproductive justice, and care for underserved populations
• LGBTQIA+ affirming care
• Integrated and collaborative care
• Wellness, supervision, counselor education, and professional development
• Complementary, creative, and somatic approaches

Contributors may express interest in writing a full chapter or a focused section within a chapter. A proposed table of contents outlining the book's anticipated scope is available for review upon request.

Selected contributors will be expected to submit their initial chapter drafts to the editors by April 30, 2027. Anticipated publication of the volume is July 2028.
