The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released its 2027 Calendar Year Medicare Physician Fee Schedule proposed rule. They propose reducing the conversion factor applicable to most mental health counselors who are non-alternative payment model participants by -1.68%. Functionally, this would mean about $32.84 less for impacted counselors.

This reduction would be a significant burden for counselors and risks undermining mental health pipelines at a time when the nation faces an ongoing mental health crisis. Join us in pushing back against this rule.
