ÀÖ²©´«Ã½is committed to educating and equipping counselors with valuable resources, insights and best practices to effectively serve your clients and excel in your day-to-day practice.

We invite counseling professionals, educators, researchers, and advocates to submit proposals for presentations that address innovative approaches, research findings, and practical strategies related to suicide prevention and care.

Important Dates

  • Call for Proposals Close: July 17, 5 p.m. ET
  • Submission Notification: Aug. 17 (via email)  

Proposal Topics

Proposal submissions should highlight actionable insights, best practices and resources that counseling professionals can apply within their work.

Proposal may include topics such as:

  • Evidence-based suicide risk assessment and intervention
  • Crisis response and safety planning
  • Suicide prevention in schools, colleges, and community settings
  • Culturally responsive suicide prevention strategies
  • Supporting high-risk or underserved populations
  • Postvention and community healing
  • Counselor self-care and burnout prevention when working with suicide risk

Proposal Submission Guidelines

Proposals should include: 

  • A clear and concise session title.
  • A session description (150–200 words) that outlines objectives and takeaways.
  • Target audience and skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced).
  • Speaker(s) bio and relevant expertise.
